Yesterday we bought a bunch of cheap fabric at the thrift store. The maroon fabric was actually a curtain and the gold was like 10 yards long and was only a dollar! My mom helped me figure out what to do with the dress part and then I figured out the shrug. We strung elastic through a seem that was in the top of the curtain and then used hot glue to close the back. The gold fabric frays really easy, so we made a tube and hot glued a seem. Then we turned it inside out and it was perfect. I am excited I have their dresses done. If there is enough maroon maybe I'll make a matching skirt for myself.
